Our Story
MAD Training was founded by co-owners, David and Megan Antonio in 2020. We founded MAD Training as a way to reach people in our community and promote health and fitness. We started reaching in-person clients, but soon hit a roadblock. Shortly after MAD Training was founded, the covid epidemic came to the USA. Our business was forced to move mostly online, which was never what we intended. However, this provided us with another platform to reach people and positively change people's lives during a tough time. Once quarantine ended we started training people in-person, but maintained the online option. Now, we train both in-person and virtually and have positively impacted people in our Lynchburg, VA community and across the world.
Our training ideology is based on sound, scientific principles that we have learned through our degrees, certifications, research, and experience. We are each completing our Masters in Human Performance: Strength and Conditioning in December 2022 and together have 8 years of hands-on experience in the fitness industry. We offer training programs geared toward weight loss, muscle growth, sport performance, and general fitness. We prioritize each client on a personal level and make all packages 100% individualized.
We are extremely grateful for the support we have from friends and family and thank God for allowing MAD Training to thrive. We are excited to move forward and continue challenging people to reach their full potential!

Meet The Team
Megan
Hey there! I have been involved in sports my entire life, but didn't develop a love for strength and conditioning until 2015 when I was competing as a collegiate figure skater. I saw how training off the ice could positively impact athletic performance. I started training more on my own and became stronger than I ever thought I could be. I wanted to share my passion with others and help them achieve more than they thought was possible, so started working in fitness. I have been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2019 and have a Masters in Human Performance: Strength and Conditioning. As a certified strength and conditioning specialist, exercise physiologist, and Crossfit trainer, I love encouraging and guiding others to exceed their goals and reach their full potential!

What's up guys! I have been pursuing fitness and health since 2014 and have been working in the fitness industry since 2017. Growing up I wasn't a very active kid, but loved food. There probably wasn’t a spare moment that I wasn’t snacking on something. Lack of physical activity and plenty of food led to a very insecure young David that was unhealthily determined to get a “body” he thought looked good. I was introduced to CrossFit in 2014 and my mindset switched to being proud of what my body was capable of doing. I can remember the joy and confidence I found when I added weight to a PR lift or decreased the time it took me to complete a workout. I decided that I wanted to share my experiences and help others feel the joy and confidence that I had built. I received Masters in Human Performance: Strength and Conditioning from Liberty University and my CrossFit L2 Certification. I am passionate about helping others not just drop weight on the scale or get a better looking body, but to be proud and love the body they have.
